We picked Fora de Casa to cater our party in September 2022 based on the excellent reviews online. And while I am sure they provide really great service to most, I'd like to still leave a note of the unprofessionalism we experienced in dealing with them. If you have a small group (under 30 people), I would not work with them. We were told 7 months before our event that they would provide the catering by Gilda. We waited weeks for her to send the menus, we responded, and then she sent us the proposal. When we chased up on emails to them, they would come back saying they are just busy but we shouldn't worry. We accepted the proposal but then she contacted us 2 months before the event to ask us to change the date of the event or to cancel. 'I completely understand, but unfortunately they won'

This was truly unprofessional as we have to find a last minute caterer for our event which will take a lot of our time and we have to pay our planner more to help us. All brides / grooms know that it takes A LOT of time and energy to plan events like these and you prepare months in advance not just for the catering, but all suppliers (decor, DJ, venue, etc) plus family and freinds. I'm most disappointed that Fora de Casa assured us along the way that things were fine that they were just busy with closer events and then that they cancel last minute without any sort of apology or acknowledgment of the difficult situation that puts us in. I get it, stuff happens. And I am happy that whatever we get will be better. I don't like being lied to and my time wasted though.
