We had our wedding ceremony and reception with about 40 guests at Blue Venado Feb. 2014. Wonderful experience!

The location is breath taking. We visited a few days before the wedding and when my husband walked down to the beach he was literally speechless. It is 100% private (hard to find in the area), surrounded by lush jungle on one side, and blue ocean on the other. The bar is big, with fun swings. There are clean restroom facilities on site. It has a cool "rustic" and natural feel, very secluded away from the hustle and bustle of town. Yes, the floor is all sand (except for the wooden dance floor), and yes it is a bumpy dirt road trip through the jungle. But to me, this gives it charm and adds to the rustic, beachy fun! My 81 yr old grandfather was telling everyone back home how great it was to not even have to wear shoes!

The food, oh the food. WOW! We chose to have a buffet, and we were blown away. My step-dad was impressed with the ribs, and this is a man who is serious about meat. The pasta is homemade and you can really tell how fresh it is! The ceviche was the best we had on our entire trip. Every item on the menu was put together and served with great care and pride. I was so impressed with Angel, the chef. The service was fantastic, too. The event went seamlessly and the bartenders kept glasses full all night with delicious concoctions! In fact, we could hardly keep up with how fast the service was at clearing our drinks.

I am very happy we chose Blue Venado and I'd highly recommend it to others for a private event or a day time excursion. Next time I visit the area, I will be certain to return for the day to enjoy the natural beauty and awesome food.
