We cannot speak highly enough of the fantastic service provided by Wendy and Marc for our wedding at Chateau Lagut in May.

 From the moment we met, Wendy was accommodating, responsive, and helpful. She provided us with useful links including the DJ and pizza chef who cooked home made pizzas in the medieval bread oven the day after the wedding.

When we arrived for the wedding, the weather wasn't quite what we had hoped for. We had planned an outdoor wedding, but chose Chateau Lagut because it had plenty of indoor space. We loved the chapel but were not sure we we would be able to fit 70 people in. Wendy sprung into action, and managed to get us some benches from the local council free of charge. The result was that we were able to have the most magical, intimate and atmospheric ceremony inside the chapel - far better than if it had been outside.

My dream was to decorate the venue using wildflowers and foraged foliage, and again Wendy was very accommodating and happy for us to use the flowers growing in the fields at Chateau Lagut.  She also provided us with some wooden tree stump decorations for the table.

Some of our guests slept in medieval tents, which worked really well, and Wendy was really accommodating putting up an extra tent at last minute - which ended up not being used because the guests (children!) changed their mind. Wendy kindly did not charge us for this.

Marc was always on site to help if we needed anything (fetching the benches from the council, fixing the power in the tents when the power went out) - but he was not over present.

The venue itself is gorgeous. Maintained to a high standard, with a jacuzzi and swimming pool as well. The barn was perfect for the wedding ceremony and party.

We really felt that Chateau lagut was the perfect venue for our wedding - all of our guests absolutely loved it and it will always hold a very special place in our hearts.
